Biological activity

Octakis-(6-bromo-6-deoxy)-γ-cyclodextrin is a perbrominated gamma cyclodextrin at the primary side. It is a commonly used intermediate in the modification of cyclodextrin. It is stacked head-to-head along the a-axis forming columns.It has a feature that alternates hydrophobic and hydrophilic layers are formed in the crystal.
